High Dynamic Range

For the most part I like this type of photography and editing, but it looks too fake when it's over done. Trey Ratcliff, who took photos all over the world, did really well when he used HDR and I liked all of his pictures.

The controversy on HDR is between photorealism and surrealism. A photographer, Tony Sweet, makes a good point when he said, "Well, okay. Did Fuji Velvia 50—the choice of professional nature photographers—look natural? Does a 14mm lens look natural? Does the bokeh of super fast lenses look natural? The answer to all of these questions is 'no' so I'm not sure why HDR is such an issue."
For me, I like pictures that are more natural than more added features, but that doesn't mean that the others aren't art. I believe it's more of a personal preference and an opinion than a 'rule'.
